CHICAGO – Wednesday, March 20th, will begin Season 18 of Chicago’s Asian Pop-Up Cinema (APUC), a film festival that has grown and evolved to become a prime cultural influencer. The Founder and Curator of APUC, Sophia Wong Boccio, provides a preview to the new season below. For details, click SEASON 18.

Season 18 screenings will pop up in Chicago, north suburban Evanston and the Alliance Francaise de Chicago. The festival will feature films by region: Canada (March 20); Taiwan (March 23-24); South Korea (March 30-April 3); Japan (April 4-6); India (April 10); and Hong Kong (April 15-21), as well an additional APUC Season 18 “Virtual Festival” (click link, March 23-April 15).

The Asian Pop-Up Cinema (APUC) an annual Asian Film Festival, and the brainchild of Sophia Wong Boccio, founder of Sophia’s Choice.
