ICT’s 3rd Annual
24 Hour Project

See what happens when a group of playwrights, directors, actors and musicians join together to create a world premiere night of theatre in only 24 HOURS.

ONE NIGHT ONLY!
Sat., Jan. 26, 2007
8pm or 10:30pm

Acting Studio Chicago
10 West Hubbard St.

Seating is limited, so reservations are strongly recommended! For reservations or ticket information, call 312.458.9780

The clock starts ticking on Friday, January 25, at 8pm.

Four playwrights are each shown a different image that somehow relates to RIGHTEOUSNESS (ICT’s season topic). Each playwright has 12 hours to write a short play inspired by that image.

In the remaining 12 hours, musicians compose music for the plays while the directors and actors rehearse. Exactly 24 hours from the project’s beginning, a world premiere evening of theatre is performed before a live audience!

ICT's 24 Hour Project

Hi there. My name is Joe and I am co-producing this 24 hour Project. I have to say that I went to one of these years ago and I agree that they can be hit or miss. I feel that is part of why it is a great show to see. Putting together a group to collaborate and create theatre in one 24 hour period is full of challenges as well as opportunities. Throughout the entire process, we plan on having a “live” blog where we will have the artists commenting on the experience throughout the day. We will also give updates on where we are in the project. This will give people a chance to really be part of the 24 Hour experience with us. Check us out at any time at: http://infamouscommonwealth.blogspot.com/

Thanks for sharing!

The format sure forces you to bring out your true creativity. Keep up the good work!

How do these usually turn out?

I’d think the format would either allow them to be really poorly done or really well done. What’s your experience with the format?

Well, if you remember from

Well, if you remember from when we went last year, they’re pretty hit or miss. But JoeCiresi gets type casted.

It is a great Experience for the artists as well as the audience

Being that I participated in the 2nd annual 24 hour project with Infamous last year. I thought it was one of the most fun and creative things I have ever seen or been a part of. The work is surprisingly good overall because it is so honest. When you do not give a lot of time to over think a character or topic you have to go with your instincts and thus it is a much more real feeling to see and be a part of. I highly recommend checking out these performances because it is a true testament to the immense talent in smaller theatre.
