Here is the plot description for “Submarine”:

Fifteen-year-old Oliver Tate has two big ambitions: to save his parents’ marriage via carefully plotted intervention and to lose his virginity before his next birthday. Worried that his mom is having an affair with New Age weirdo Graham, Oliver monitors his parents’ sex life by charting the dimmer switch in their bedroom. He also forges suggestive love letters from his mom to dad.

Meanwhile, Oliver attempts to woo his classmate, Jordana. She’s a self-professed pyromaniac who supervises his journal writing (especially the bits about her). When necessary, she orders him to cross things out. Based on Joe Dunthorne’s acclaimed novel, “Submarine” is a captivating, coming-of-age story with an offbeat edge.

What’s the best way to get a guy or girl to like you?

The best way, initially, would be to make her laugh/smile with jokes or quirks that both of you can relate to. Common interest and such. That way she’ll be comfortable talking to you, and you never know later on— the “spark” ensues.

stalking, pheromones, and manipulation

The best way to get a guy to like you is to make sure you stalk the hell out of them and find out all his likes. Adopt them and make them yours. Next make sure to get a cologne or perfume and add pheromones that attract him. Make sure not to accidentally get cat pheromones or else the only pussy you’ll be getting is from the dozens of alley caps that will suddenly start following you (learned that one the hard way). Then, finally go up to them and with your newfound information, manipulate them into a relationship. At least that’s what I do. Hopefully it works for you because I am having NO luck.

  • Speech & Debate (stage play)

CHICAGO – “Speech & Debate,” the latest production from the mighty Brown Paper Box Company, continues their tradition of thinking outside that “box” in presenting storefront theater that makes a statement and a difference. “Speech” goes inside America by showcasing the outsiders… those who create art because they can’t get it right in real life. This non-equity Chicago stage play premiere is finely tuned and wonderfully acted, and runs through March 4th, 2018. Click here for more details, including ticket information.

  • We're Gonna Be Okay

CHICAGO – The 1960s were a time of historical social transition. The movements – civil rights, feminist, gay rights – all had roots in that tumultuous decade. The Chicago premiere of Basil Kreimendahl’s “We’re Gonna Be Okay” echoes all of those movements in its characters, and collides them against the October 1962 Cuban Missile Crisis. The show has a Thursday-Sunday run at the American Theater Company through March 4th, 2018. Click here for more details, including ticket information.
