CHICAGO – Don’t call her Hannah Montana anymore, Miley Cyrus has broken out on her own and is forging a more personal music and performance career. Recently, she came to Chicago to promote the grand opening of The Topshop here.
In an amazing and unprecedented rise to the top, Miley Cyrus has both grown up in public and grown into her celebrity profile. The daughter of country singer Billy Ray Cyrus and Letitia Jean “Tish” Finley, Miley Cyrus found her niche watching her father perform in the PAX-TV show “Doc,” and immediately knew that she wanted to act as well. At the age of twelve, she broke through on “Hannah Montana,” a Disney Channel series that had featured Miley playing a pop star with a double life. How art has imitated life.
