CHICAGO – Several guests and performances that will appear at the 4th Annual Chicago Movies & Music Festival in April were officially announced today. The festival, which celebrates music in movies in features, documentaries, shorts, concert films, animation, and music videos, will take place from Thursday, April 12 to Sunday, April 15.

CIMMfest will take place at various theaters and venues in the Wicker Park and Logan Square neighborhoods of Chicago, including the newly renovated Logan Theatre. The festival will include appearances by actors and filmmakers, DJ/VJ events, panel discussions and live performances. Some guests that have been confirmed for the festival include actors Horatio Sanz and Joe Lo Truglio and a performance of “Rapper’s Delight” by rappers Wonder Mike and Master Gee (founding members of The Sugarhill Gang).

Josh Chicoine, Director of the 4th Annual CIMMfest Director along with Ilko Davidov, explained his excitement in a press release today: “Now entering our fourth festival we are excited to showcase an even wider range of films and live performances, including Brit and Punk rock, Improv, and Broadway, all across Chicago’s vibrant Wicker Park and Logan Square neighborhoods,” said Chicoine. “CIMMfest is unique in that we truly aim to highlight the crossover of film and song, shedding light on the interconnectedness of all people, around the world, through the lens of music and moving image. Along with our board of directors, partners, sponsors, friends and supporters, we are thrilled to be curating these amazing four days in April!

The entire schedule for the festival will be announced on March 15 at the CIMMfest official site. Tickets for the festival can also be found at the site. A limited number of Early Bird Festival passes are still available on the site, and single showing tickets go on sale March 20. Festival venues include: Debonair Social Club, Double Door, Hideout, The Logan Theater, Rodan, The Society for Arts, and Wicker Park Arts Center.
