CHICAGO – In this special HollywoodChicago.com Hookup, we’ve partnered with the first-annual CineFest Backlot Block Party from Cinespace Chicago Film Studios! The music and food festival features more than 30 bands (including Bret Michaels, Blue Oyster Cult and Quiet Riot) as well as Chicago’s most popular sweet and savory food trucks!

The music and food festival, which celebrates film and TV projects that have been shot in Chicago, takes place this weekend on Aug. 28, 29 and 30, 2015. The festival is located on the grounds of Cinespace Chicago Film Studios, which is one of the largest film and TV studios outside of Hollywood. Each HollywoodChicago.com winner scores a weekend pass valid for all three days! Winning passes will be available at CineFest will call under your name.

Onesti Entertainment is producing the event, which benefits CineCares: the charitable foundation of Cinespace that provides scholarships and supports local civic and children’s charities.

Exhibits depicting some of the biggest movies and TV shows shot in Chicago will be scattered around the movie backlot property. These include current blockbuster TV projects “Empire,” “Chicago Fire” and “Chicago PD” as well as film classics including Charlie Chaplin’s “His New Job,” “Ferris Bueller’s Day Off,” “The Blues Brothers,” “Barbershop,” “Batman,” “The Untouchables,” “U.S. Marshals,” “The Fugitive,” “Backdraft,” “A League of Their Own,” “Home Alone,” “Hill Street Blues” and more.

Various props and filmmaking equipment will also be displayed. Erich “Mancow” Muller will be one of the on-stage hosts and there just may be a few celebrity sightings around those stages!

As the festival grounds are shared between Cinespace and Lagunitas (Chicago’s largest craft brewery), Lagunitas will be the featured beer of the event. Musical headliners include Bret Michaels of Poison, Blue Oyster Cult, Quiet Riot, the Michael Allman Band, the Chicago Six, Carlise Guy (daughter of Buddy Guy), Mr. Blotto, Roots Rock Society and many more!
