CHICAGO – The Midwest Independent Film Festival, the year round “First Tuesday” film happening in Chicago, is about to go cartoony. The Animation Showcase will feature several films from animators interviewed previously by HollywoodChicago.com, including (click names to link) Joel Benjamin (“Where it Floods”), Anne Beal (“Singing So Sweetly”) and Robert Carnilius (“McTucky Fried High”). Benjamin’s film is a World Premiere, and filmmaker Carter Boyce (“Die Flucht”) has a Chicago premiere.

The Midwest Independent Film Festival is a year-round movie event in Chicago that takes place the first Tuesday of every month, at the Landmark Century Centre Cinema. The festival has been recognized by Chicago Magazine in their “Best of Chicago” issue, and has become one of the top places for local filmmakers, producers and actors to network in the city.
