“The Shape of Water” features Sally Hawkins, Octavia Spencer, Chicago’s own Michael Shannon, Michael Stuhlbarg and Richard Jenkins in a film set in America during the Cold War era of 1962. The film is a lyrical tribute to the movies themselves, and why we love them. Michael Shannon and Michael Stuhlbarg will make an appearance on the Red Carpet before the film, on behalf of the film. “The Shape of Water” won the Founder’s Award at the Festival, presented by Michael Kutza.

“The Shape of Water” is the Closing Night film of the 53rd Chicago International Film Festival on Thursday, October 26th (7pm), at the AMC River East 21, 322 East Illinois Street, Chicago. Cinema/Chicago, the sponsor of the Film Festival, has movie events throughout the year. Sign up for membership and get free screenings and special privileges. Click here for more information.
