CHICAGO – Glamour, glitz, fun and the Academy Awards will be an event at the Park West in Chicago, as Comcast/NBCUniversal Presents “a Night with Oscar” on Sunday, March 4th, 2018, a benefit for Center on Halsted. The Academy Awards Viewing Party will feature a Live Red Carpet Arrival with Special Guests, Silent Auction/Raffle, Best Dressed Competition, and a full Open Bar/Buffet. Center on Halsted is the most comprehensive community center in Chicagoland dedicated to building and strengthening the Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Transgender and Queer (LGBTQ+) community, directly impacting the community members of all ages with diverse public programs and social services. Center on Halsted offers youth and senior programming, behavior health services, HIV testing, anti-violence work, and educational programming. For every dollar donated to Center on Halsted, nearly three/fourths are spent directly on providing these community programs and services. Center on Halsted is located in the heart of Chicago’s Lakeview Neighborhood. “a Night with Oscar” lead sponsor is Comcast/NBCUniversal and XFINITY.
