Podtalk: Bryan Wendorf of the 25th Chicago Underground Film Festival, June 6-10, 2018



CHICAGO – Even though the definition of “underground” changes at lightning speed in the digital age, the perennial Chicago Underground Film Festival (CUFF) is presenting it’s 25th edition, and it grows in influence every year.
The 2018 fest kicks off on Wednesday, June 6th with “Industrial Accident: The Story of Wax Trax! Records.” The opening night screening is sold out, but for more information on all screenings, after parties and ticket availability, through the run of the festival on Sunday, June 10th, click here.

For the whole history of the festival, beginning when it began in 1993, Bryan Wendorf has been leading CUFF and working in many capacities, and currently is the Artistic Director and Programmer. Wendorf has shepherded the festival through all of its eras, including the last six years at CUFF’s home base of the Logan Theatre in Chicago, 2646 North Milwaukee Avenue.
