The Gene Siskel Film Center of the School of the Art Institute of Chicago has presented cutting edge cinema, both as a vital part of the school’s offerings and as a continuous celebration of the cinema for the general public. The Film Center’s programming includes specialized film festivals (like Black Harvest), trailblazing work by today’s independent filmmakers, restorations and revivals of essential films from cinema history, and discussions with filmmakers and media artists.

The 24th Annual Black Harvest Film Festival Closing Night film is “Fear of a Black Hat,” on August 30th, 2018. All films in the fest are screened at the Gene Siskel Film Center, 164 North State Street, Chicago. For more information about the festival, click here.
