CHICAGO – As the leaves begin to crunch beneath our feet, the Fall 2023 Chicago Humanities Festival – ongoing since September – will kick into gear in October with an amazing line-up of celebrity and talkback events. For a complete list and guide to the Festival, click CHICAGO HUMANITIES.

AN EVENING WITH KEEGAN-MICHAEL KEY and ELLE KEY is connected to their critically acclaimed podcast of the same name. Plus they are sharing their new book “The History of Sketch Comedy: A Journey Through the Art and Craft of Humor.” The book will take readers on a delightful and hilarious journey through the evolution of sketch comedy, stories of other comedic legends and insights into the creative process behind crafting some of comedy’s most beloved masterpieces. Join Vice President of Second City, Kelly Leonard, for a live taping of his podcast “Getting to Yes, And … ” as he leads a masterclass in humor alongside the Keys. Book signing will follow.

BOB, NATE AND ERIN ODENKIRK is a family affair as Bob teams up with this daughter and son, illustrator Erin and writer Nate, as they share original poems that the father wrote with his children when they were young – as well as some new ones – in “Zilot and Other Important Rhymes,” brought to life by Erin’s whimsical drawings. The Odenkirk family will sit down with Peter Segal, the host of NPR’s “Wait Wait Don’t Tell Me!” Book signing will follow.
