CHICAGO – “Twilight” and “New Moon” fans will have a reason to flock to the theaters on Aug. 14, 2009 for the release of the new film “Bandslam” with Vanessa Hudgens, Alyson Michalka, Gaelan Connell, Lisa Kudrow (from “Friends”) and Tim Jo.

While the next film in the “Twilight” series isn’t due out until Nov. 20, 2009, a brand-new, full-length theatrical trailer from “The Twilight Saga: New Moon” will debut this Friday on Aug. 14, 2009 exclusively with the Summit Entertainment of “Bandslam”. Prior to Friday, a 14-second tease of the new trailer will be airing nationwide starting on August 11, 2009.

“The Twilight Saga: New Moon” stars Robert Pattinson, Kristen Stewart, Taylor Lautner, Ashley Greene, Peter Facinelli, Elizabeth Reaser, Kellan Lutz, Nikki Reed and Bronson Pelletier from director Chris Weitz. “The Twilight Saga: New Moon” is slated to hit theaters on Nov. 20, 2009.

Vanessa Hudgens and Aly Michalka join Gaelan Connell, Scott Porter and Lisa Kudrow in the music-driven comedy “Bandslam”.

When gifted singer and songwriter Charlotte Barnes (Michalka) asks new-kid-in-town Will Burton (Connell) to manage her fledgling rock band, she appears to have just one goal in mind: to go head to head against her egotistical musician ex-boyfriend, Ben (Porter), at the biggest event of the year: a battle of the bands.

I think we will hold off on seeing the movie until.......

As a parent who purchased all of Stepenie Meyers books and paid for the first movie. I am waiting for a comment from Summit Entertainment about their involvement with Roman Polanski film distribution. I am waiting for a comment from Co-Chairman Patrick Wachsberger, who managed to talk extensively in interviews about distributing Polanski films. Sadly, there was no comment about Mr. Wachsberger’s opinion on a company peddling both films by a CHILD RAPIST and films for children. I am also waiting for a comment from Stephenie Meyer about all of the above.
