Here is the plot description for “The Boondock Saints II: All Saints Day”:

“The Boondock Saints II: All Saints Day” is the much-anticipated sequel to the indie cult classic “The Boondock Saints”. The film is the continuation of writer/director Troy Duffy’s tough, stylized and cutting-edge saga of the MacManus brothers (Norman Reedus, Sean Patrick Flanery).

The two have been in deep hiding with their father, Il Duce (Billy Connolly), in the quiet valleys of Ireland. They’ve been far removed from their former vigilante lives. When word comes that a beloved priest has been killed by sinister forces from deep within the mob, the brothers return to Boston to mount a violent and bloody crusade to bring justice to those responsible.

With a new partner in crime (Clifton Collins Jr., “Star Trek”) and a sexy FBI operative (Julie Benz, TV’s “Dexter”) hot on their trail, the saints are back!

I love Cult Classics

The reason why I love indie cult classics is writers and directors of these movies do not have movie studios down their throats giving demands of what the movie has to have or be. The creative development of the film gets to fully form and even change on set allowing for an amazing and original movie free from box office intake scrutiny.

Cult Classics

I love how they have such a devoted fan base and aren’t made to just make money but to be a good movie.

What do you love or dislike about indie cult classics?

I love that Indie classics are as close to the actual vision of the writer and director as possible. You really get to see their work as they would want you to see it.

Indie Cult Classics

What I like the most, is that these movies tend to be really creative and yet not have large budgets. This shows that there is such thing as a good movie without a huge budget.

The Boondock Saints II

Indie classics are strange in an interesting sort of way. Some are good and some are terrible, but the good ones I’ll enjoy watching over and over again (after buying the DVD).

Indie Cult films

I can’t say I love them but I don’t hate all of them. The fact they get off the ground with shoestring budgets is pretty amazing. The fact that some people read more into the stories than actually occurs is fascinating.
