CHICAGO – The late playwright August Wilson left a gift to the world in the form of his “American Century Cycle,” a series of plays each individually set in a decade of the 20th Century, focusing on the black experience. Chicago’s Goodman Theatre presents Wilson’s “Joe Turner’s Come and Gone,” now through May 19th, 2024 (click here).

Film News: Week One of the 2013 Chicago Latino Film Festival
Submitted by PatrickMcD on April 15, 2013 - 1:34pmCHICAGO – The 29th Annual Chicago Latino Film Festival (CLFF) kicked off last week with the premiere of Rafa Lara’s “Cinco de Mayo: La Batalla” on April 11th, 2013, and exhibited its first weekend of films, all at the AMC-Loews Theatres at 600 N. Michigan in Chicago. The festival runs through Wednesday, April 25th, and many film and special appearances are scheduled for Week One.
