Film Review: ‘Are You Here’ Feels Like Mashup of Two Different Films

CHICAGO – You would think that a film written and directed by Matthew Weiner – the creator of “Mad Men” – would be worthwhile company, especially when the cast includes Zach Galifianakis, Owen Wilson and Amy Poehler. It is disappointing to note that not only was this cliché-ridden mess unpalatable, but it also switched gears two-thirds of the way through to evoke a different mood, and that schizophrenia didn’t help the overall product.

CHICAGO – This 31-image slideshow contains all of the official press images for the highly anticipated “Middle Men,” starring Luke Wilson, Giovanni Ribisi, Gabriel Macht, Jacinda Barrett, Laura Ramsey, Terry Crews, Rade Sherbedgia, with Kevin Pollak and James Caan. The film was written by George Gallo & Andy Weiss and directed by Gallo. It will be released on August 6th, 2010.

Paramount Pictures Releases Flood of New Production Stills For ‘The Ruins’

CHICAGO – Paramount Pictures on Thursday released a flood of new production stills for the new horror film “The Ruins,” which stars Jena Malone, Jonathan Tucker, Shawn Ashmore, Laura Ramsey and Joe Anderson. Directed by relatively unknown director Carter Smith (“Bugcrush”) and based on the novel by Scott B. Smith, “The Ruins” opens on April 4, 2008.
