Flashback: A Screech Interview, Dustin Diamond Dies at 44

CHICAGO – A man called Screech is gone. Dustin Diamond, who portrayed the Screech character for many years on the series “Saved by the Bell” and its various iterations, passed away on February 1st, 2021, in a Florida hospital after a bout with cancer. He was 44.

CHICAGO – “The Hollywood Show” comes back to Chicagoland next weekend, September 7th, 8th and 9th, and with it the usual fun line-up of celebrity TV and movie favorites. The autumn show appearances include Pam Grier, Loni Anderson, Robert Loggia, Connie Stevens, Lainie Kazan and June Lockhart.

This year, the duo are challenged by the responsibility of becoming partners in their law firm, but won’t lose their unique edge.

CHICAGO – The publicity machine was in full force a couple weeks ago in Chicago, as Mark-Paul Gosselaar and Breckin Meyer rolled into town to promote their new summer TV series, “Franklin & Bash,” premiering June 1st on the TNT Network at 8pm CST. The duo previewed the show at a screening party here on May 16th.

CHICAGO – The stars of the new TNT legal comedy “Franklin and Bash,” Mark-Paul Gosselaar and Breckin Meyer, have been playing the PR game long enough that they’re completely comfortable sitting in front of a reporter and just being themselves. When I walked in on them at the Four Seasons in Chicago, they were both on their smart phones laughing and tweeting. It seemed a natural place to start.
