CHICAGO – Dimension Films announced today that production is about to begin on “H2”, the sequel to Rob Zombie’s 2007 remake of the John Carpenter classic, “Halloween”.
CHICAGO – Ondi Timoner introduces the subject of her award-winning documentary “We Live in Public” by saying “This is the story of the greatest internet pioneer you’ve never heard of…” and, for the most part, she’s right. Josh Harris is a fascinating and arguably deranged gentleman who basically prophesized and created the virtual lives most of us lead on Facebook, Twitter, etc.
CHICAGO – It’s a shame that a forgettable action flick forced Lee Daniels’s Oscar-winning drama to change its title from “Push” to “Precious: Based on the Novel ‘Push’ by Sapphire.” It’s a terribly ungainly title, brimming with wordy self-importance. What if other films did the same thing? I shudder at the thought of, “An Education: Based on the Memoir by Lynn Barber” or “A Serious Man: Based on an Idea Concocted by Roderick Jaynes.”
