Edwards, and director Layne Marie Williams of “Women of the Now,” have co-curated a special night of short films under the title umbrella “Now That We Have Your Attention.” The program will take place on July 21st, 2018 (7:30pm), at the new Chicago Filmmakers center. The Femme Filmmaker Showcase will screen three blocks of short films, all either created by women filmmakers or with women centric themes, on Saturday, September 9th, 2017. This will also be an evening of networking, and tours will be provided at one of the latest studio spaces in Chicago, 2112/Fort Knox Studios.

As Woman of the Now has grown in its new home, the group has sponsored many happenings and events, the latest of which is “Poerotica,” subtitled “Liquor, Lingerie and Love Languages.” The event will take place at Reunion Chicago on Saturday, August 19th, 2017 at 8pm (details below).
