Garden State (circa 2004)

Well worth the $9.25 I spent when I saw it.

& guess what? Even though the people at Piper’s Alley thought that they all had to smoosh together to watch the movie when there were rows & rows of seats available outside of the center row/center aisle, people were generally, I would say A-!

So I didn’t have to sigh heavily whilst people were rude, which is nice.

Why A-?

My dear, sweet ex-roommate whom I absolutely adore, came upon some special advanced screening tickets to a film. It’s pretty much a given that the first person we ask is each other when we get these things, being the movie buffs that we are. We’ve been to quite a few together, so it came as no surprise when she asked me to go tonight.

On The Drive every morning, DJ Bob Stroud has this thing called “10 at 10.” He picks a year & plays -oh you guessed it- ten songs from that year at -oh you guessed it- ten in the morning. Tuesday morning, the year was 1970.

A new friend of mine insisted we watch “Rocky Balboa” the other day on DVD. He loved it & told me that if I didn’t, he’d watch any three movies of my choosing. If I did love it, I had to write about it on my blog. Well, I like to write & I like films, so I wrote about it regardless.
