Seanachaí Theatre Company is thrilled to announce John Mahoney as the distinguished guest at their upcoming benefit event. Long celebrated for his work in Irish drama, Mr. Mahoney will be performing a special poetry reading as part of “An Evening of Entertainment” on Monday, June 13th, from 7pm to 10pm at the Irish American Heritage Center. Tickets are $50 in advance, $60 at the door (subject to availability.) All proceeds to help fund Seanachaí’s 2011-12 season.
The evening also features dramatic readings with the Seanachaí ensemble and venerable Chicago actors, Brad Armacost and Steve Pickering. Traditional Irish Music, hors d’oeuvres and a cash bar round out this one-of-a-kind fund raising event.
The Benefit will also serve as an appreciation and farewell event to Consul General of Ireland, Martin Rouine, member of the Seanachaí Board of Directors, who returns to Ireland later this year.
