HollywoodChicago.com film critic Patrick McDonald wrote in his 2.5 out of 5.0 review of the new concert film “CSNY Déjà Vu” with David Crosby, Stephen Stills, Graham Nash and Neil Young:
CSNY and stories of the Iraq War that just doesn’t come together with any sense of narrative cohesiveness.
The problem with the film isn’t what it’s communicating. It is the awkward structure and tendency toward redundancy that director Neil Young practices. It is a hodgepodge of songs, old footage of Read Patrick McDonald’s full “CSNY Déjà Vu” review in our reviews section.
