New film to begin filming in Chicago in late March 2008: 'Helix' with Alexa Vega

HollywoodChicago.com has just learned that a new crime drama will begin non-stop filming in Chicago in late March 2008. We have confirmed that Alexa Vega (“Spy Kids”) will play the lead. The film comes from actor, writer and first-time director Aram Rappaport.

Chicago film 'Helix' posts Craig's List ad for 'experienced AC'

The following ad for “Helix” was posted on Craig’s List on March 10, 2008.

“Helix,” a 90 minute experimental indie shot in the style of “Russian Ark” starring Alexa Vega seeks Assistant Camera who has experience working with the Panasonic HVX200 as well as experience operating in support of a steadicam operator.

Grip and lighting experience a plus.

This is a low budget production, but is a supreme opportunity to showcase your skills in a format that has been done few times in cinematic history.

Pay is for six days of tech walkthrough in addition to five days of shooting. $1,250
