KRONOBOTZ by Magical Visions & Dimensions World

Hello there! It is a real pleasure to welcome you to your introduction to KRONOBOTZ. I’m very glad to have you here!

At an unknown time, in an unknown place, a young man wakes up on top of a mountain in what appears to be a desolate desert. Realizing it is not his bedroom, he frantically starts running around on top of the mountain in a haze of confusion.

Soon the sun rises and he can observe the world around him. Not even knowing if this is the earth, he embarks on a journey to find out where he came from and what his purpose is.

He wanders the world, finding nobody he recognizes, until finally there’s movement above him. Flying in the skies is a light source. Remembering that in his past he had run into something similar, he chases after it over mountains and valleys.

When he catches up to it, he finds he can order it to turn off its radiating light. But it is not who he had expected. For it turns out this is Majoor, his long lost puppy from a time immemorial, from a world immemorial, now living as a flying robot.

Well, that’s one way to keep your favorite pet remembered!

But that leaves just a lot more to be discovered about how things came about.

And so, in an episode called KRONOBOTZ 01, our two friends will start on their journey to find out who they are and who their master is.

The guy who woke up lost in life

The cast of KRONOBOTZ 01 will consist of Majoorbot, a cute and petlike mechanical robot, Marius van der Walt as the lost guy in the wilderness, Rina van den Berg as Aunt Gesie, Erika de Kock as the blond girl Mathilda and Janda Walters as a memory.

“What a wonderful experience to be chosen as a ‘plain Jane’”, says Erika de Kock about the experience of working on this film, “in my role as Mathilda!”

(“Plain Jane” is stressed to explain her wardrobe in the film, a style she’s not used to wearing :) )

Mathilda working on a “car project”

“Mathilda, the girl who’s not used to finding people close by, suddenly finds a boy she can help, opening the door to comical incidents. But I wonder if all is what it seems with Mathilda and Tant Gesie?”

Who knows.

The location made an absolute stunning backdrop for the film.

“The setting is in Namibia, Southwest Africa with its beautiful scenes of nature, the mountains, the big empty spaces and most of all the sun setting in the east early in the evening!”

In fact, the sun setting at 3 something pm was not quite what we are used to; each shooting day the last hour was a mad race against the sun to wrap the day’s shooting. Pretty crazy.

“This story, with its suspense and comedy, will keep you wanting more for a very long time!”, says Erika in conclusion.

And I know a lot of people will agree with her.

The Fish River Canyon and its breathtaking surroundings are the location for KRONOBOTZ 01

To guide our viewers and make sure being lost is only for the KRONOBOTZ story characters, KRONOBOTZ will feature the perfect narration to make sure the audience is smoothly introduced to and confident in following the story.

Scott Pollak was born in Tulsa, Oklahoma, but moved to Houston, Texas when he was still a small child and later also spent some growing up years in New Orleans.

In spite of two days of re-recording to get the pronunciation of “Kronobotz” just right ;) , Scott is sure to round off KRONOBOTZ perfectly with his narration skills, as his experience attests:

Scott Pollak, the narrator for KRONOBOTZ

Scott Pollak is known as the voice of National Public Radio in Atlanta, Georgia, and NurseTV, and has been putting his voice to work since 1975 when he first set foot inside a radio station… also an NPR station! Since then he has worked at a handful of U.S. radio stations in New Orleans and the Atlanta area, and has been a fulltime professional freelance voice talent since the early 2000’s.

Over the years Scott has voiced, quite literally thousands of commercials, countless corporate videos, web messages, and again, quite literally thousands of e-learning lessons. His voice has been heard on everything from national commercials to movie trailers to international training videos (his clients include those located in Israel, England and India) to in-store product demonstrations (he can currently be heard narrating high-end window fixtures in Home Depot stores across the U.S.) and even as several characters in the visitor’s museum at the Mount Rushmore Memorial.

At the moment, besides lending his voice to the KRONOBOTZ series, he continues to provide ongoing narration for 3 of the U.S.’s largest producers of e-learning, where he narrates lessons ranging from introductory arithmetic and vocabulary for grade school students, all the way up to advanced physics
and calculus for senior high school students. As well, he continues to write, voice and produce local radio commercials and just completed voicing another national spot for Mother’s Car Wax products. His
voice will soon be heard narrating the closing film at the soon-to-be-opened national Holocaust Museum in Chicago, Illinois.

Scott is once again thrilled to be working with Marius van der Walt on the KRONOBOTZ series, and Marius is overjoyed to have him on board!

So allow Scott’s narration to make your experience of watching the KRONOBOTZ series even more pleasant and richer!

As the theme song, written, composed and performed by DJ Hannes van der Walt captures the true essence behind KRONOBOTZ:

“Search the world inside my friend
Search around until the end
Make sure of your identity
