David Cronenberg’s stage directing the American premiere of Howard Shore’s “The Fly” (which debuts worldwide in Paris July 1), based on his own film and with a liberetto written by David Henry Hwang (who co-wrote Cronenberg’s film version of “M. Butterfly”).

Woody Allen’s directing “Gianni Schicchi” while William Friedkin is staging two works, “Il Tabarro” (The Cloak) and “Suor Angelica” (Sister Angelica).
