CHICAGO – It was nostalgia time as Molly Ringwald made an appearance at the Borders Books in Lincoln Park, Chicago, near the suburban locale of one her great collaborations with the late John Hughes, “The Breakfast Club.”

Ringwald was in town promoting her new book, “Getting the Pretty Back: Friendship, Family and Finding the Perfect LIpstick.” She signed books and met fans at the Chicagoland Borders in Lincoln Park, and posed for a couple of EXCLUSIVE portraits for HollywoodChicago’s photographer Joe Arce.

Although Ringwald is best remembered for those early teen movies in her filmography, she established quite a career afterward with appearances in the miniseries “The Stand” [1994], the short-lived TV show “Townies” [1996] and a great cameo in “Not Just Another Teen Movie” [2001]. She currently can be seen on ABC Family Network in “The Secret Life of the American Teenager.”
