Here is the plot description for “Sanctum”:

The 3-D action/thriller “Sanctum” from executive producer James Cameron follows a team of underwater cave divers on a treacherous expedition to the largest, most beautiful and least accessible cave system on Earth. When a tropical storm forces them deep into the caverns, they must fight raging water, deadly terrain and creeping panic as they search for an unknown escape route to the sea.

Master diver Frank McGuire (Richard Roxburgh) has explored the South Pacific’s Esa-ala Caves for months. But when his exit is cut off in a flash flood, Frank’s team – including 17-year-old son, Josh (Rhys Wakefield), and financier Carl Hurley (Ioan Gruffudd) – are forced to radically alter their plans. With dwindling supplies, the crew must navigate an underwater labyrinth to make it out. Soon, they are confronted with the unavoidable question: Can they survive or will they be trapped forever?

Shot on location off the Gold Coast in Queensland, Australia, “Sanctum” employs 3-D photography techniques Cameron developed to lens “Avatar”. Designed to operate in extreme environments, the technology used to shoot the action/thriller will bring audiences on a breathless journey across plunging cliffs and into the furthest reaches of our subterranean world.

SURVIVAL AT ALL COST

It is human nature to fight for your own survival, so in a life or death situation there will be no limit to what I would do to survive.

Life

I would do anything to survive. No matter what. That is human nature to survive.

Any Limit to What you would Do?

I would do whatever I could, although I do not know if I could cut my arm off to survive.

how far would i go

i would go to any length i had to

As others have said, it

As others have said, it depends on the situation. I might go as far as killing someone, I might not. It’s impossible to assess one’s own capacity for survival when we haven’t been placed in such a situation before.

It’s purely conjecture, but I think my answer would be no.

life or death

most of us would do what we had to survive

Danny's picture

To an extent

I think i would do close to anything to survive, if im alone. If there is a scenario with loved ones, i would like to think my first priority would be ensuring their safety. But then again maybe in a life and death scenario all scruples would go out the window. Hopefully not though.

survival

Yes I have limits..I have no problem eating anything to survive…….maybe i’ll draw the line at humans, but who knows what one would do when in said scenario

Nick Staal's picture

Almost not

I don’t think I’d kill a loved one, but I would do almost anything to survive. It is human nature that would take over.

It’s hard to say how I

It’s hard to say how I would deal in that type of situation> i guess you don’t know until you’re in it
