Here is the plot description for “Falling Skies”:

In the devastating wake of an all-out invasion of the planet by an alien military force, ordinary people must do extraordinary things to survive in TNT’s powerful new series “Falling Skies”. The show stars Noah Wyle (“ER”) and comes to TNT from DreamWorks Television and executive producer Steven Spielberg. “Falling Skies” is slated to air over eight weeks beginning with the two-hour premiere on June 19, 2011 at 9 p.m. ET/PT. The show will then move into its regular time slot on Sundays at 10 p.m. ET/PT.

“Falling Skies” opens in the chaotic aftermath of an alien attack that has left most of the world completely incapacitated. In the six months since the initial invasion, the few remaining survivors have banded together outside major cities to begin the difficult task of fighting back. Each day is a test of survival as citizen soldiers work to protect the people in their care while also engaging in an insurgency campaign against the occupying alien force whose nature and purpose remains a mystery.

At the center of “Falling Skies” is Tom Mason (Noah Wyle): a Boston history professor whose family has been torn apart. His wife was killed shortly after the initial attack and one of his three sons has been taken captive by the aliens for some unknown purpose.

Tom must now put his extensive knowledge of military history to the test as second in command of the 2nd Massachusetts: a regiment of resistance fighters protecting a large group of civilian survivors. They are constantly trying to gain intelligence about the aliens in order to one day outsmart and overtake them and hopefully rebuild their lives.

Aliens Attack

I would fight them much as I would zombies and use my awesome combat skills. Of course, I’d probably have to get used to seeing blood, and using a gun. And of course their technology is probably much more advanced than our so I’d probably be dead before I could do anything.
OR it could be like War of the Worlds and I could hide out until the aliens annihilate themselves.

Alien Attack

If I survived the first assault and was forced to defend our planet, I would pretty much learn how to fight and use any and all weapons at my disposal. If this means enlisting in the military or joining a resistance cell, I just have to steel my resolve to fight off the invaders and protect our land and humanity.

Fight with the Aliens

Try to figure out what is their weak point, and then attack.

Aliens Attacking

Not being very strong, I would probably just run from the aliens and hope I was fast enough!

Alien Attack

Luckily, I keep half-empty glasses, cups, and bottles of water all over the house, because if I’ve learned anything from Mel Gibson and M. Night Shyamalan, it’s that aliens hate water! Bring on the supersoaker!

guerilla warfare

I’d keep the best strategists hidden so they could mastermind the fight without the aliens’ knowledge of their existence. Secrecy will definitely aid in the fight back, along with a lot of will and ingenuity.
