Here is the plot description for “Falling Skies”:

In the devastating wake of an all-out invasion of the planet by an alien military force, ordinary people must do extraordinary things to survive in TNT’s powerful new series “Falling Skies”. The show stars Noah Wyle (“ER”) and comes to TNT from DreamWorks Television and executive producer Steven Spielberg. “Falling Skies” is slated to air over eight weeks beginning with the two-hour premiere on June 19, 2011 at 9 p.m. ET/PT. The show will then move into its regular time slot on Sundays at 10 p.m. ET/PT.

“Falling Skies” opens in the chaotic aftermath of an alien attack that has left most of the world completely incapacitated. In the six months since the initial invasion, the few remaining survivors have banded together outside major cities to begin the difficult task of fighting back. Each day is a test of survival as citizen soldiers work to protect the people in their care while also engaging in an insurgency campaign against the occupying alien force whose nature and purpose remains a mystery.

At the center of “Falling Skies” is Tom Mason (Noah Wyle): a Boston history professor whose family has been torn apart. His wife was killed shortly after the initial attack and one of his three sons has been taken captive by the aliens for some unknown purpose.

Tom must now put his extensive knowledge of military history to the test as second in command of the 2nd Massachusetts: a regiment of resistance fighters protecting a large group of civilian survivors. They are constantly trying to gain intelligence about the aliens in order to one day outsmart and overtake them and hopefully rebuild their lives.

How would I fight off an alien invasion?

Well firstoff, to quote the movie Chicago, I would know that I simply could not do it alone. I would make sure I had a group of at least 4, so three of us at any given point could make a protective circle for the fourth if they had to sleep at one point. I would probably try and use Kryptonian bullets, since that has worked on some aliens in the past, or maybe blast some old bad music if they were from Mars. I would maybe also go really old school wiley coyote style and drop some pianos on them, and wouldn’t be afraid to go hand to hand with them if necessary. I would hope they wouldn’t adapt like the Borg, but if they did, I would make sure I had every weapon at my disposal, from spatula to crossbow to umbrella. I would also hope to maybe use my mind and see if I could bargain with them and maybe try and go undercover to take them down from within. Also, I would hope that an intergovernment task force of Sigourney Weaver, Harrison Ford, Will Smith, Michael Rosenbaum, and now Noah Wyle would get together to come up with the ways they have fought off aliens.

I would treat it as a video

I would treat it as a video game boss and look for its weak point - perhaps a giant belly button or bulge of some kind to attack.

Alien Defense

I would make friends w/ them. Throw a party for them & get them all in one place. Then blow it up w/ them inside. This is assuming they are hostile.

I would arm myself with an “unknown alien attack” weapon and blow the critters away!

How would you fight an unknown alien attack?

To be honest there is really no way to fight it without having casualties. So I would both use combat moves but inteligent strategies to try to minimize casualties.
