Here is the plot description for “Friends With Benefits”:

Despite what Hollywood romantic comedies would have them believe, Dylan (Justin Timberlake) and Jamie (Mila Kunis) think it’s going to be easy to add the simple act of sex to their friendship. They soon discover, however, that getting physical really does always lead to complications.

The all-star cast includes Justin Timberlake (“The Social Network,” “Bad Teacher”), Mila Kunis (“Black Swan,” “Forgetting Sarah Marshall”), Woody Harrelson (“Zombieland,” “2012”), Jenna Elfman (“Keeping the Faith,” TV’s “Dharma & Greg”), Richard Jenkins (“Dear John,” “Let Me In”) and Patricia Clarkson (“Easy A,” “Shutter Island”).

fwb don’t work unless both parties end up having feelings for each other. I ended up developing feelings for my fwb 7 years ago and he didn’t reciprocate. In the end, I cut things off sexually until he could figure out he feels and he began dating another girl a week later. While it hurt that he didn’t want to date me, it sucked more that he didn’t fulfill his friend duties and shafted me. No worries. I’m with a much better person now who started out as a friend and we fell for each other.
