CHICAGO – Well, that didn’t take long. Joining “The Playboy Club,” “Free Agents,” and “How to Be a Gentleman” in the hallowed halls of cancellation is ABC’s “Charlie’s Angels,” a show that never found an audience and watched the few who did sample it turn away in the week’s after its premiere. ABC followed their full-season orders for “Revenge” and “Suburgatory” yesterday with the announcement of the cancellation of “Charlie’s Angels” today.

What’s next? Keep an eye on “Pan Am” and “Prime Suspect.” As for what you don’t have to worry about, nine rookie shows have already been renewed — “Up All Night,” “Whitney,” “New Girl,” “2 Broke Girls,” “Ringer,” “The Secret Circle,” “Hart of Dixie,” “Revenge,” and “Suburgatory.”

Maybe this will finally put an end to the remake/reboot trend with “Charlie’s Angels” not making it to Halloween and “Wonder Woman” notoriously not even making it to the air at all.
