Here is the synopsis for “Joyful Noise”:
Oscar nominees Queen Latifah (“Chicago,” “Hairspray”) and Dolly Parton (“Transamerica,” “Steel Magnolias,” “Nine to Five”) star in “Joyful Noise”: a funny and inspirational story of music, hope, love and renewal.
The small town of Pacashau, Ga. has fallen on hard times, but the people are counting on the Sacred Divinity Church Choir to lift their spirits by winning the National Joyful Noise Competition. The choir has always known how to sing in harmony, but the discord between its two leading ladies now threatens to tear them apart.
Their newly appointed director, Vi Rose Hill (Latifah), stubbornly wants to stick with their tried-and-true traditional style while the fiery G.G. Sparrow (Parton) thinks tried and true translates to tired and old. Shaking things up even more is the arrival of G.G.’s rebellious grandson, Randy (Jeremy Jordan). Randy has an ear for music, but he also has an eye for Vi Rose’s beautiful and talented daughter, Olivia (Keke Palmer).
The sparks between the two teenagers are causing even more heat between G.G. and Vi Rose. If these two strong-willed women can overcome their differences and find a common voice, they and their choir may make the most joyful noise of all.

My best memory that is tied
My best memory that is tied to a song is on Christmas Day listening to Silent Night by the “Temptations”. It shares a special place in my heart because it reminds me of my grandmother who is up in heaven.
What’s your best memory that’s tied with a song?
“Hit the road jack” song always brings memories. For me, it has been a reminder that the night is over and its time to go. A very common song that is played at bars and parties.
Joyful Noise
“9 to 5” hearing Dolly sing the theme song always puts people in a good mood and makes them think about the movie. I would really like a pass to go see her latest project Joyful Noise! Hello, Dolly!!!
The Best
I rememeber when my mother was alive she use to sing this gospel song with so much joy and soul. Like If you would watch her sing jus her smile and joy along with the soulfulness of the song just gave you goosebumps. Now 12yrs later after her passing I can still relive that moment and rejoice of the song she sang!
