Here is information about the Jack’s Mannequin tour:

House of Blues ChicagoJack’s Mannequin has announced 2012 tour dates in support of “People and Things,” which was released on Oct. 4, 2011. The band recently wrapped up a five-week tour with a pair of hometown shows that included the sold-out Dear Jack Foundation Benefit Concert at Los Angeles’ El Rey Theater.

The show raised money for frontman Andrew McMahon’s Dear Jack Foundation, which is a volunteer-run charitable organization that helps raise awareness and supports charities that help young adult cancer patients. Jack’s Mannequin performed on Jimmy Kimmel Live! on Dec. 5, 2011. In 2012, the band sets off on a string of U.S. dates that kick off in St. Louis on Jan. 19, 2012 and run through Feb. 11, 2012 in Washington, D.C. Following the U.S. tour, Jack’s Mannequin will head to Australia for the Soundwave Festival before heading to Japan for a handful of dates.

“People and Things” debuted at No. 1 on Billboard’s alternative albums chart and at No. 9 on the overall Billboard 200 chart as well as at No. 9 on Spotify’s album chart. American Songwriter called the first single “My Racing Thoughts” “a superb piece of piano rock that rivals some of Elton John’s best 1970s hits” and calls “People and Things” “easily the most musically cohesive album in the band’s catalog thus far”.

The “People and Things” short film “Release Me” from Jack’s Mannequin can be watched now below.
