CHICAGO – Kristen Stewart and Charlize Theron dominated at the box office this past weekend, as “Snow White and the Huntsman” made an estimated $56.3 million in three days, more than good enough for first place. The film is already close to crossing the $100 million mark internationally and is a definite hit, notching the second-highest three-day total of the season after “The Avengers.”

The success of “Snow White” demolished the rest of the market as most other films fell more than 40%. “Men in Black 3” was down over 46% and has made $112.3 million domestically in ten days and a total of $387 million worldwide. Snow White, Agent J, and Thor dominated the field as the top three films made significantly more than the rest of the top ten.

In interesting news, Fox Searchlight’s “The Best Exotic Marigold Hotel” continues to expand impressively, climbing up to 6th place and “Moonrise Kingdom” lurks just outside the top ten even though it’s only playing on 16 screens.
