The riveting new documentary, which opens on Friday, July 4, 2014, premiered in red-carpet Chicago style on June 30, 2014. Illinois Gov. Pat Quinn officially declared June 30, 2014 “Life Itself Day”. In our interview, Chaz Ebert says the movie will delight and shock audiences everywhere as fans learn stories they never knew about one of our country’s most influential film critics. Also, Steve James discusses how Roger not only lived his life so completely but also how he died with such grace.

    CHICAGO – The funny meter of Netflix went off the scale last week, as the animated series “Chicago Party Aunt” made its debut on September 17th. What began as a Twitter account by comic actor Chris Witaske (who also provides his voice talent) has morphed into the cartoon adventures of Aunt Diane Dumbowski, her nephew Daniel, and an array of familiar Chicago-isms and characters.
