CHICAGO – The Chicago Premiere of the new film “Who Gets the Dog?” will be co-presented on Tuesday, September 6th, 2016, by the Midwest Independent Film Festival. The Midwest Indie is a year round film fest that convenes every first Tuesday, and for this special presentation will screen at the historic Music Box Theatre in Chicago. ’Who Gets the Dog?’ at the Midwest Independent Film Festival

Alicia Silverstone (“Clueless”) and Ryan Kwanten star in “Who Gets the Dog,” a romantic comedy about a just-about-to-be-divorced couple who cannot decide on who gets custody of their beloved dog Wesley. Is it possible that humankind’s best friend can find a way to reunite the couple? The film also features Amy J, Carle, Randall Batinkoff and Rachel Cerda, and is directed by Huck Botko. The film is set in Chicagoland, and the filmmakers will attend a post screening discussion.

The Midwest Independent Film Festival co-presents the Chicago Premiere of ”Who Gets the Dog?” on Tuesday, September 6th, 2016, at the Music Box Theatre, 3733 North Southport, Chicago. The Midwest Independent Film Festival screens on the First Tuesday every month until November, followed by their “Best of the Midwest” Awards in December.
