CHICAGO – One of the great and now traditional Fall cinema events in Chicago is the Shortcut 100 International Film Festival, and this year there will be a hybrid of in-person and virtual/online events associated with the 8th annual short film celebration. The kickoff is a socially distant Opening Night, October 9th, 2020, at Eleven04 in Chicago, with virtual and upcoming programs going on through October 16th. To get ticket details for the Oct. 9th in-person program, and more information, click here.

The Shortcut 100 fest was founded and is facilitated by filmmaker Rujanee Mahakanjana (“Parallel Universe”) of Nebula Creatives L3C, and this year brought in new partners in both government and cultural realms …the City of Chicago Department of Cultural Affairs & Special Events (DCASE), the Chicago Film Office, the Mezcla Media Collective, Wakandacon and the Chicago Screenwriters Network. The Wakandacon Fest will have their own virtual/online program in association with the Shortcut 100. For the full line-ups of films, click here.
