HollywoodChicago.com Oscarman rating: 5.0/5.0
Rating: 5.0/5.0

This sequel to the first origin film has Diana Prince/Wonder Woman (Gal Gadot) in 1984 Washington D.C., where she gets involved with a TV huckster (Pedro Pascal), her co-worker at the Smithsonian (Kristen Wiig) and a magical ancient stone that grants wishes. The price everyone will pay becomes the theme which counteracts the travails of 2020. Merry Christmas, indeed.

“Wonder Woman 1984” opens in select theaters and will stream on HBO MAX beginning December 25th. Featuring Gal Gadot, Chris Pine, Pedro Pascal, Kristen Wiig and Robin Wright. Screenplay by Patty Jenkins, Geoff Johns and Dave Callaham. Directed by Patty Jenkins. Rated “PG-13”
