CHICAGO – It’s time to laugh, and just in time the World Comedy Expo is coming to Chicago this weekend – March 25th-27th, 2022 – and is offering an international showcase of stand-up comics, improvisation, sketch, panels and workshops all on the topic of generating laughs. Kelly Sheenan of Chicago is a co-founder.
The World Comedy Expo’s mission is to foster, enable, and showcase comedic talents from around the world and bring people of different backgrounds and cultures together through the joy and power of laughter. This inaugural Expo was also founded by Japanese stand-up comic and Expo Artistic Director Saku Yanagawa. He will lead a panel on Touring Internationally, covering where and how to get booked, tips for adjusting material for different audiences, navigating visas and other logistics of international travel, and more, on Friday, March 25th, 5pm (Den Theatre). Attendance is free but requires advance registration (click site link below).
