The Chicago Humanities Festival is a Windy City institution that began in 1959, to express the rich ideas of the humanities to a wider public audience. The Humanities Day expanded and was established in 1990, and the current iteration is a year-round presenter of events. Their mission is connecting people to the ideas that shape and define us, and promotes the lifelong exploration of what it means to be human. CHF fosters curiosity, celebrates creativity, explores the boundaries of contemporary knowledge and culture, and challenges us to see ourselves and the world anew. The expansiveness of ideas is the definition of hope.

The Spring Season of the Chicago Humanities Festival continues on May 7th, 2022, with a whole day of events, and continues throughout the month of May. Click CHF for all the details.
