Kamala (Iman Vellani) is a typical 16 year old girl from Jersey City, where her parents ended up as Pakastani Muslim immigrants. She lives in the Marvel Cinema Universe, and loves Captain Marvel and all the mystery surrounding her disappearance. When she wears her costume at a convention, a bracelet of her great grandmothers suddenly gives her the power to create a diamond-like substance from thin air. Her friend Bruno (Matt Lintz), who likes her more than a friend, has to suddenly contend with Kamran (Rish Shah) who has a secret of his own. All the factors come together for this newly minted teen superhero, including begin sought by both the government and inter-dimensional fellow travelers trapped in our world.
