CHICAGO – The front of Chicago’s historic Music Box Theatre was abuzz with celebrity stardom as Kathryn Hahn appeared on behalf of “Glass Onion: A Knives Out Mystery” at the 58th Chicago International Film Festival (CIFF) on October 18th, 2022. Patrick McDonald and photographer Joe Arce were there.

In this rousing follow-up to Rian Johnson’s “Knives Out,” detective Benoit Blanc (Daniel Craig) travels to Greece to peel back the layers of a murder mystery involving a new cast of colorful suspects. Starring Edward Norton as an eccentric billionaire, and featuring inspired performances from Janelle Monáe, Leslie Odom Jr., Jessica Henwick, Madelyn Cline, Kate Hudson, Dave Bautista and Kathryn Hahn, “Glass Onion” unfolds in a series of twists and turns as it builds toward the conclusion.

Kathryn Hahn, the recipient of the Career Achievement Award by the 58th CIFF, is a veteran character actor specializing in comedy. She debuted on the series “Crossing Jordan,” and then had a series of supporting roles in films like “How to Lose a Guy in 10 Days,” “Anchorman,” “Step Brothers” and “The Secret Life of Walter Mitty.” She recently appeared in Marvel Studios “WandaVision” miniseries as nosy neighbor Agatha Harkness.
