CHICAGO – Patrick McDonald of HollywoodChicago.com appears on “The Morning Mess” with Scott Thompson on WBGR-FM (Monroe, Wisconsin) on December 8th, 2022, reviewing “Avatar: The Way of Water,” the highly anticipated sequel to the 2009 original, directed by James Cameron. In theaters beginning December 16th, in 3D and IMAX screen options.

The blue inhabitants on the planet of Pandora are back, and their resources are still desired by earthlings, including a resurrected Col Quaritch (Stephen Lang), who becomes a blue Na’vi tribe replicant because he has a revenge obsession against fellow replicant Jake Sully (Sam Worthington). Jake is also a a full Na’vi tribesman now, having married Neytiri (Zoe Saldana) and having some half breed rug rats. When the earthlings invade from space, Jake and his brood escape to the water people tribe, the Metkayinas, which includes Ronal (Kate Winslet). As Jake and company learn to assimilate with the water folk, Col. Quaritch is bearing down on them.
