CHICAGO – The first awards show of the season takes off on Thursday, November 2nd, as the BEST OF THE MIDWEST Awards will be presented by the Midwest Film Festival at CineCity Studios in Chicago. Tickets are rapidly selling out, so click on BEST OF THE MIDWEST for the levels of tickets that are available.

The event includes awards for ten categories, honoring the best of the 2023 Midwest Film Festival season … besides the expected designations (Actor, Actress, Director, Cinematography, Editing, Sound Design, Production Design, Wardrobe and Grand Prize for Film) there is also an The Empowerment Award for inspirational filmmaking. The evening will include drinks, light appetizers, the Awards Ceremony and one of the major networking opportunities all year. Ticket packages include General Admission and VIP levels.

The Midwest Film Festival has been a staple in Chicago’s film community for 15 years. At the beginning of 2020, the festival was reinvented with a a new outlook and name, facilitated by Executive Director Erica Duffy. It remains one of the most influential and provocative film festivals in the city.
