This is the incredible, still inconceivable story of Christopher Reeve, who was plucked from obscurity to the role of Superman beginning in 1978 and through three sequels to 1987. His non-Superman work was less successful, but his career was going along as he expanded into directing and TV work. Then in May of 1995 a tragedy occurred. Reeve the active outdoorsman and competitive horse rider was thrown during a jump, and was afterward paralyzed from the neck down until he died in 2004, including tied to a breathing pump. His next phase of life would be his most challenging.

”Super/Man: The Christopher Reeve Story” will have a special screening through Fathom Events on September 21st and 25th. See local listings. Written by Otto Burham,Ian Bonhote and Peter Ettedgui. Directed by Ian Bonhote and Peter Ettedgui. Rated “PG-13”
