Here is the “Four Christmases” plot description:

In the comedy “Four Christmases,” Brad (Vince Vaughn) and Kate (Reese Witherspoon) are a happy, loving and normal couple. In order to stay that way, they have managed to avoid spending extended time with their decidedly abnormal families at all costs and especially during the holidays.

This year’s plan was the same as always: make up a believable excuse to miss Christmas and instead head to sunny Fiji for a holiday week of relaxation and fun. But chance intervenes as bad weather has grounded all flights.

When a news reporter covering the story catches Brad and Kate on camera, their cell phones start ringing. They’re caught red handed. Their families now know. Goodbye, Fiji. Hello, trouble.

Brad and Kate are now forced to face their worst fears by visiting all four of their divorced parents in one day and celebrate four Christmases.

One house is tougher and more revealing than the next in a constant comedy of errors that will ultimately test the strength of their relationship. One thing is for sure: it will be a Christmas they will never forget no matter how hard they try.

“Four Christmases” is directed by Seth Gordon (“The King of Kong: A Fistful of Quarters”) and stars Robert Duvall, Jon Favreau, Mary Steenbugen, Dwight Yoakam, Tim McGraw, Kristin Chenoweth, Jon Voight and Sissy Spacek. This film is not yet rated.

First Christmas without family

I was working in a coffehouse in North Carolina - I was asst. mgr., and the majority of our staff were college students, who of course all mostly went home for the holidays, leaving what was essentially a skeleton staff for two weeks at the holidays. I didn’t have the money for a plane ticket back to New England, and so I ended up working Christmas Eve til we closed at 4. It was my first Christmas without family and both my roommates had flown home from Christmas/Hannukah, so I had nobody to spend it with. I went out to dinner alone, then two separate Christmas Eve services, which made me very homesick, and just spent Christmas with my cat. To top it all off, I had to be on the opening shift on the 26th- which meant leaving for work at 4:30am. It beat watching some of the relatives get drunk and stupid, however.

Christmas Horror Story

Nothing of horror to speak of. I’m not religious, so Christmas isn’t that big of a deal to me; and with limited family and friends, I’m also not into all that frenzied shopping either. I do, however, enjoy the outdoor lights on trees and decorations in stores because they’re beautiful to look at—sort of like being in Las Vegas.

Christmas

The only thing close to horror for me is when I got a Wii for Christmas and it was stolen two days later.

Movie passes

No horrible Christmas stories. I used to always get some ugly clothes for Christmas but luckily that trend stopped a while back.

Christmas horror

My XMas horror was probably the one where my dog pissed on all of my presents for my family under my tree in college.

And then there was the other time I left my cat alone in the apartment overnight and came home to the entire tree had been toppled over and ornament glass EVERYWHERE - I still found some after I moved out. Apparently she wanted to climb the tree!

Christmas Horror

I really haven’t had a christmas horror, I’ve been luck so far (knock on wood)- but I do remember the first time I kissed my lover was on Christmas and my heart was beating so fast I thought it would jump out of my chest - when I think about it - thats like a horror scene - heart jumping out of chest : )
