CHICAGO – Activision sent over information about the newly-launched website for their new game, “X-Men Origins: Wolverine” with a wicked cool, 3D screenshot that they said we could include below. And you can grab it too from the official site and put it on your Facebook, MySpace, or any other page you so desire. Go to Uncaged.com to slash it up for yourself!

As more and more people check out the site, there will be continuing site updates to offer fans more details about the anticipated game. The official message boards are open for business, so you can stop by and introduce yourself, grab the screenshot, and start your own countdown to one of the biggest games and movies of 2009.

The game “X-Men Origins: Wolverine” doesn’t have a release date but the film of the same name starring Hugh Jackman, Ryan Reynolds, Liev Schreiber, and Dominic Monaghan, from director Gavin Hood, opens May 1st, 2009.

Movie

So, if you like the x-men movies, it is a no brainer that you will enjoy this. If you are not a fan of the typical x-men movies, you might find something else in this one, simply because it spends more time on explanation and motivation than it does just showing super powered fights. There are some great moments of special effects and awesome battle scenes (especially with Gambit), but the movie is not inundated with them. The director did a decent job at giving back story without letting it get too far into any kind of “best drama award” category. If you are going into this looking for oscar winning acting, then you must not have seen any of the x-men movies…lol. Visually it is great, acting is far from cheesy, but also far from oscar performances, and the movie is just plain interesting and fun. Isn’t that why we go to these in the first place? I think it was money well spent and a great time.
