Release Date Announced For ‘Call of Duty 4’ Sequel ‘Modern Warfare 2’

CHICAGO – Get your calendars out and mark the date for arguably the most anticipated game of the year, “Modern Warfare 2,” Activision’s follow-up to the award-winning “Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare”.

Activision announced today that Infinity Ward’s “Modern Warfare 2” will strike worldwide on November 10, 2009. The follow-up to the best-selling first-person action game of all time, “Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare” is set to be one of the biggest games of the fourth quarter of 2009.

We don’t know much about the game but Infinity Ward’s CEO, Vince Zampella said in today’s press release, “Everyone on the team is laser focused on making the most gripping experience we’ve ever created. No detail is too small and every finishing touch imaginable is underway to make Modern Warfare 2 our best ever. We can’t wait for our fans around the world to play starting November 10th.”
