our most memorable family photo was one in which my mom decided it would look nice if we all wore black, and the photographer decided on a black background. needless to say my floating head sent out to all of our family and friends and displayed on our mantel was not amusing.

setting Christmas centerpice and cocktail table on fire

This was the Christmas Eve that the fire department came 3 times in one evening. First when the the Christmas goose drippings in the oven set off the smoke alarem. Second when the flaming brandy for the cocktails set off the alarm again. Finally during dessert, when the centerpiece in the living room caught fire, and burnt a hole in the cocktail table.
