TV Review: FX Finds Partner For Brilliant ‘Archer’ in Promising ‘Chozen’
Submitted by BrianTT on January 13, 2014 - 9:27amFX has built a loyal following for the twisted genius of their animated hit “Archer,” which returns tonight, January 13, 2014 to start an incredibly strong series of episodes that spoof “Miami Vice” under the banner of “Archer Vice.” While “Archer” seems to garner more fans every year (helped ably by the popularity of the episodes on Netflix), FX has struggled to find it a partner. Maybe an obnoxious, fat, gay white rapper is just what Sterling Archer needed.
TV Review: Sterling Fourth Season Premiere for ‘Archer’
Submitted by PatrickMcD on January 17, 2013 - 10:44amCHICAGO – Not content to stand on its status as one of the top tier and weirdest animated series on TV, the season four premiere of “Archer” begins with a premise that redefines the term crossover. The new season of “Archer” begins on FX on January 17th, at 10pm ET/9pm CT.
DVD Review: Hysterical ‘Archer: The Complete Season Three’
Submitted by BrianTT on January 11, 2013 - 3:51pmCHICAGO – You should buy the third season of “Archer,” just released on Blu-ray and DVD, if just for the season premiere, “The Man from Jupiter,” featuring an absolutely amazing guest performance from Burt Reynolds. Actually, that is the fourth episode of this season as the three-part “Heart of Archness” aired three months earlier and kicks off this DVD. Whatever you call it, it’s hysterical. In a crowded field that includes former titans like “Family Guy,” “South Park,” and “The Simpsons,” “Archer” is the funniest animated show on TV.

TV Review: Amazing Episode Kicks Off Third Season of FX’s ‘Archer’
Submitted by BrianTT on January 19, 2012 - 12:36pmCHICAGO – There’s so much variance in quality when it comes to TV animation for adults. On one end of the spectrum, there’s the already-canceled “Allen Gregory” and the hopefully-to-follow “Napoleon Dynamite.” On the other, you have a show like “South Park” that has lost none of its creative drive.
TV on Blu-ray Round-Up: ‘The Borgias,’ ‘Archer,’ ‘Jersey Shore’
Submitted by BrianTT on January 5, 2012 - 2:49pmCHICAGO – A number of recent TV seasons hit DVD and Blu-ray right after Christmas, hoping to get a share of that gift card balance burning a hole in your wallet. If you have any left, we thought you might want to know the details so you can plan your assault of the local Best Buy or fill your Amazon cart. This is a Round-up feature that serves mostly as information, letting you know the synopsis, tech specs, special features, etc., but if we had to pick favorites, FX’s “Archer” rules. It’s the best of the bunch, but, honestly, all four should satisfy fans (even if “The Borgias” is annoyingly light on special features). Yes, even “Jersey Shore.”

TV Review: Hilarious ‘Archer’ Continues Hot Streak for FX
Submitted by BrianTT on January 14, 2010 - 11:06amCHICAGO – Perhaps the highest compliment I can pay FX’s new often-brilliant animated series “Archer” is that, even with several new shows on my plate to watch, I actually went back and viewed a few episodes more than once. Like a lot of great animation - the best of “The Simpsons,” “Family Guy,” “South Park,” “Venture Bros.” - “Archer” is immensely rewatchable. A future cult hit premieres tonight.
